Dr. Chandrashekhar Dixit is an OUTSTANDING ORTHOPEDICIAN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I am having excellent experience.I am 32 years old and I had an ACL grade 3 injury so I can talk about it only and my experience says Dr. Dixit has an OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE and EXCELLENT AMOUNT OF KNOWLEDGE as an orthopedician. he will guide you during the injury, after the surgery ,during the rehab and what should be the steps that we need to follow to avoid injury in future. I decided after my second or third visit to him that the I will do my surgery from doctor Dixit only and I also did not go for any second opinion from anyone because the whatever questions I asked and the way he has explained all the technical things regarding the knee mechanism , how ligaments and the surrounding muscles are working and protecting knee and if the surrounding muscles are weak then how ligaments and the other parts of knee can be injured. He is an excellent choice. you can go for doctor Dixit without any second thought. IN DETAIL EXPERIENCE: I had an ACl injury in August 2023 while playing outdoor Sports.I came in contact with Dr Chandrashekhar Dixit when I visited Jupiter hospital Baner after my injury. I had an ACL grade 3 injury along with the meniscus partly injured and grade one injury of LCL and MCL. Dr Dixit explained me as I have an ACL grade 3 injury so it can be completely recover by doing surgery only. it won't be automatically heal. so surgery is must if I want to go to the sports or want to do the high intensity activity again. if I want to do normal activities then I can also manage it without any surgery by maintaining strength as I am young so surgery is not a mandatory at that point of time. For surgery he explain me that we cannot go for the surgery directly because to do the surgery , the knee should be completely ready and there are some technical things which should be taken care before surgery such as bending knee to certain angles then the strength of the surrounding muscles like Quads, hamstring, calf muscles and after that once my knee is ready, we can go for the surgery after 3 to 4 weeks. Because of personal reasons I did not go for the surgery after 3 to 4 weeks and I had taken a time of 6 to 8 months and during this time I was constantly touch with the doctor dixit and continuing my physiotherapy to build and maintain strength in my surrounding muscles. During this 6 to 8 months of period I able to do all my normal activities except jumping ,running , jogging basically high intensitive. in April 2024 I have decided to go for the surgery in June-2024. He told me ACL reconstruction surgery is must but for meniscus surgery we will decide at the time of surgery only as there might be possibility that meniscus is completely healed but we would able to confirm that when we do the surgery so that we can check it and finalize. I had surgery in June 2024 and meniscus surgery was not required as it was completely healed and ACL reconstruction surgery was successful. But the actual recovery starts after surgery. Complete recovery is depends on how you do physiotherapy consistently . Dr. Dixit explained me the complete timeline and after the surgery of 2 weeks you will feel like this , after the one month you would able to do this , after 2 months , 4 months ,6 months ,8 months. Currently its 3 months after the surgery and able to walk now without any pain, can drive a car, ride a bike. The surgical part is completely fine and I am continuing physiotherapy to gain complete strength in my surrounding leg muscles. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👍👍👍👍👍👍
